About Tierney Signs

Tierney Signs has been based in Toowoomba since 1978, however the company was originally established in Sydney in 1924 by James Mark Tierney. His four sons were all trained as signwriters and learnt the trade. One of those sons, Peter, moved to Toowoomba with his young family in 1978 and started servicing the Darling Downs.

Peter's two sons, Adam and Liam Tierney were both taught traditionally with brush in hand. Today, Liam owns and runs the family business and continues to provide the quality and service synonymous with the Tierney name.
